SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Mold Setter is responsible for safely and efficiently setting, changing, starting, and troubleshooting injection molds to support production schedules. This position ensures molds are properly installed, machines are prepared for production, and startup processes meet quality and production standards. The Mold Setter works closely with Production, Process Technicians, Tooling, and Maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency ** PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES** : • Install, remove, and change injection molds according to production schedules. • Perform mold setup, machine startup, and shutdown procedures. • Connect and disconnect water lines, hydraulic lines, electrical connections, and auxiliary equipment. • Verify mold alignment, clamp settings, and machine readiness prior to production startup. • Assist with machine start-ups and make basic process adjustments as directed. • Perform mold inspections before and after production runs and report any damage or maintenance needs. • Ensure molds, equipment, and work areas are clean, organized, and maintained in accordance with company standards. • Complete required setup documentation and production records accurately. • Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, and mold handling equipment (training/certification as required). • Work closely with Process Technicians, Maintenance, Tooling, Engineering, and Production personnel to resolve setup issues and minimize downtime. • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce mold change times and improve production efficiency. •[]{style="fo "}
